Imagine a clock on a wall in a bare room. It is a functioning clock hanging on a nail on one of the walls of that room.
Now imagine a scenario where the clock is on the floor, the nail is placed alongside it. There is a drill and screwdriver on the floor. The clock battery lying nearby as well. Now what is the probability that in a million years, with no intervention by any being, a hole will be drilled in the wall, a nail will be screwed in, the battery will be placed in the clock and the clock will be hung on that nail? How about a billion years? Trillions?
But hang on, that is not the full picture, imagine there is no clock or nail or drill or battery. All you find is pieces of wood, iron, battery chemicals and plastic lying on the floor. What is the probability that over billions of years, a clock, a nail, a screwdriver, a battery will be formed. Then over time it will all fit together along with the hole in the wall, and finally the clock hanging on the nail?
No, even that is not the full picture. Imagine an empty room. Nothing in there. What is the probability of one finding a clock on the wall after billions of years?
And now, imagine there being no room or wall. What are the probabilities of the above scenario coming true?
This is the absurdity of evolution.
